Abby & Patrick

Hey all,

I’m so excited to share another wedding from this past spring with all of you!

As some of you may know, the Premier team consists of a trifecta of wedding planners. Nicole is the owner of our amazing company and a Senior Planner, Tara (that’s me!) specializes in Day-of Coordination, and Melissa is our fabulous Assistant Coordinator.

I love all of my brides, but when I get the chance to work with someone close to a member of the Premier team, it makes it all that much more special. For this wedding, the bride, Abby just happened to be a friend of Melissa’s!

The couple reached out to Premier looking for a Day-of Coordinator for their spring wedding. Both Abby and Patrick had a lot of ideas for their big day, and with the help of a spectacular team of vendors (see links below) their navy and coral wedding dreams came to life at the gorgeous Umstead Pines Country Club.

Guests looked out onto the 18th hole of the golf course for a sunny ceremony on the green, followed by a fun filled reception inside the ballroom where guests danced the night away. Sequin linens and large floral arrangements helped transform the space.

Check out some of the photos below and as always, happy planning,

Ashley & Jonathan

Although Premier Party Planners is based out of Raleigh, North Carolina, our brides come from all over the Tar Heel state and beyond. One of my favorite things about working with an out-of-town bride is getting the chance to work with new vendors and explore new venues. For Ashley and Jonathan, they knew right away they wanted their special day to take place at Carlee Farm in Oxford, NC.

Carlee Farm, for those of you who may not know is a real working farm! I am talking live animals, beautiful pastures, and just filled with that warm southern charm that I have come to love during my time in the south. (That’s right folks, I’m another northerner who migrated south, fell in love, and never left.) Now, I know what you must be thinking, a wedding, on a farm?! Let me assure you, this venue is nothing short of amazing. The owners, Gena and John have gone to great lengths and thought of everything when turning their property into a wedding venue. As you come down the small, wooded drive and arrive at the front of the property, you are immediately greeted with bright sunshine, and a beautiful barn that is straight out of every southern girl’s dreams. Once you step inside the barn, you would never believe you are standing where animals once slept.

We started working with Ashley and Jonathan fairly early in the planning process and helped them come up with a design and decor concept that would be elegant, and yet still let the natural beauty of the wood barn shine through. By using a lot of greenery, personal items that were special to the couple, and a few pops of the bride’s favorite color, fuschia, we were able to create a fun and elegant space which defined the couple perfectly.

The ceremony took place in a small clearing surrounded by mature trees which made it the perfect spot for this couple’s intimate ceremony. Throw in the cutest ring bearer in history and a couple of tears from the groom as he saw his bride walk down the aisle, and even I couldn’t help but get swept away in the moment.

The cocktail hour and reception followed the ceremony, and consisted of the bride and groom’s favorite dishes served alongside ice cold glasses of sweet tea and lemonade. Although the day was surprisingly warm for a mid spring wedding, it didn’t stop the guests from dancing until the little one’s started falling asleep under the stars on the porch rockers. With weddings like this, it’s no wonder the “elegant barn” trend is here to stay.

Be sure to check out more pictures from Ashley and Jonathan’s Big Day as well as the list of vendors that made the whole thing possible below. And, if you are thinking about having your wedding at a new and exciting venue and are looking for a planner, we would love to hear from you! Just click the “Contact Us” link at the top of the page.

Maggie & Mike

There is something especially romantic about a historic resort nestled among the trees that just screams wedding destination, making Berry Hill Resort the perfect place for Maggie and Mike’s romantic spring wedding.

I started working with Maggie and her family early on in the planning process and couldn’t be happier with how everything came together. The ceremony took place on the front lawn of the main mansion followed by cocktails and hors’ d’oeuvres inside. Guests were then welcomed into the main ballroom and courtyard for the reception to celebrate the newlyweds.

Although Berry Hill is beautiful on it’s own, no wedding would be complete without personal touches from the Bride and Groom. Maggie and Mike’s wedding was no exception. From including their dog Patterson in the ceremony and the groom’s cake design, to using a family heirloom sword to cut the cake, it was obvious the couple went to great lengths to make their wedding their own. Oh, and did I mention they had big screen tv’s playing the UNC game under the courtyard tent!? Certainly a first for me, but in the planning world, anything is possible!

Of course, such a spectacular wedding wouldn’t be possible without a team of awesome vendors. See below for links to each of the vendors that helped make this wedding one for the books!

Until next time,

Hello from Tara

Hey everyone!

Tara here. One of Premier Party Planner’s dedicated Day-of Coordinators. Can I just say that we have had an awesome start to this year’s wedding season! I have had the opportunity to work on so many great weddings already in 2017, and I can’t wait to start sharing them all with you. Be sure to check back soon for more posts about some of the past and future weddings Premier is working on complete with pictures, tips and vendors.

Happy Planning.

Meredith & Dave

Hold on to your shorts, people!  I am blowing the dust off our blog!  I couldn’t think of a better wedding to restart our blog with Meredith and Dave’s super blingy and drop dead gorgeous wedding at The Umstead.

Meredith & Dave’s wedding day started out with everyone getting ready at The Umstead.  The ceremony took place at Sacred Heart Cathedral.  After the ceremony was over, everyone headed back in style to The Umstead.  I just cannot get over two parts of this wedding — Meredith’s veil and those centerpieces!  All the florals were done by the super talented team at The English Garden.  Thank you to all other vendors that came together to make Meredith & Dave’s wedding day perfect!
